This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.
What you’ll do at Figma:
- Own projects from end-to-end, from ideation to implementation to quantifying production impact.
- Take responsibility for the team’s impact, goals and ownership areas, working closely across engineering and with cross functional partners to drive outcomes.
- Tackle exciting technical problems, designing new architecture and solutions that addresses both immediate and broader needs.
- Mentor other engineers and shape the team's technical strategy, processes, and culture.
- Help recruit more world class engineers to Figma.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- 4+ years working as a professional software engineer.
- 4+ years of professional experience shipping features or products.
- A focus on impact, with the ability to achieve meaningful outcomes and speak to the metrics behind the work.
- Strong cross-team and functional collaboration skills.
- Experience in and a desire to teach fellow engineers through pairing, code review, and in-the-moment feedback.
While not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:
- Experience in growth initiatives and thinking, whether through running experiments or prototyping of 0-to-1 products or ideas.
- A strong focus on building products that tackle real user needs.
- Demonstrated fluency with one or more programming languages, including: Typescript/Javascript, React, C++, Python, Ruby, Java, Objective-C, Go, or Rust.
Pay Transparency Disclosure
If based in Figma’s San Francisco or New York hub offices, this role has the annual base salary range stated below.
Job level and actual compensation will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process (including skills and prior relevant experience, potential impact, and scope of role), market demands, and specific work location. The listed range is a guideline, and the range for this role may be modified. For roles that are available to be filled remotely, the pay range is localized according to employee work location by a factor of between 80% and 100% of range.
